Installation – User Instructions

Important Safety Notes

  • All work must be carried out by a licensed electrician to ensure the safety of the installation.
  • Connections must be made carefully to prevent overheating or electrical leakage.

The following instructions are intended to assist the professional electrician installer.

Never attempt to install the device without the required knowledge, as there is a risk of electric shock or damage to your electrical panel.

Installation and Wiring

Important Safety Notes

1. Power Off. Turn off the main circuit breaker to cut off the power supply to the entire panel, as well as the circuit breaker for the water heater.

2. Mount the myswitch device on the DIN rail and secure it.

3. Check that the device is stable and securely fastened.

4. Disconnect the water heater cables, phase (L) and neutral (N), from the circuit breaker.

5. Connect the water heater cables to the output terminals of the device.

6. Connect the circuit breaker output to the device input using two cables to provide power supply.

Final Check and Power Restoration

Visually inspect the wiring connections to ensure they are correct.

Restore power by turning on the main circuit breaker of the panel.

Turn on the water heater circuit breaker to power the myswitch device.

If everything is installed correctly, the white network indicator on the device will start blinking, indicating that the myswitch device is operating normally.

For testing, press the green button on the device (the red indicator will blink 3 times, a sound will be heard, and the device will activate). Repeat the process to deactivate the device.

With this procedure, you have completed the installation and confirmed that the control device activates and deactivates the operation of the water heater.

Important update!
The water heater should be single-phase with a total power of up to 5.5KW, and its circuit breaker should not exceed 25 Α.

Connecting the Device to the Application

Download the Application

  • Open the app, and you will be prompted to create an account. Email verification and a password are required.

Pairing the Device with the Application

  • Make sure the device is powered on and that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your mobile phone.
  • In the app, select the Add Device option.
  • You will need to assign a name to the device you want to control.
  • Select the time zone of your location.
  • Select the type of device you have connected, such as a water heater or another device like outdoor lighting.
  • Add your Wi-Fi password (your mobile device must be connected to the same network as the device during pairing. If it is connected to a different network or a mobile data network, repeat the process from the beginning).
  • The app will verify your password and allow you to proceed to the next step.
  • Press and hold the green button on the device for 7 seconds, then release it. The white network light will start blinking rapidly. On your mobile device, open the app and locate the MYSWITCH device. When your device appears, select it to connect. Wait for the process to complete.
  • Complete the process by following any instructions displayed on the screen.

Maintenance and Software Updates

  • The app can notify you of available software updates for the device. Make sure to install them to improve performance and security.
  • Follow the maintenance instructions provided in the app or in the user manual.

Troubleshooting

  • If the device does not connect, try restarting it and make sure the Wi-Fi connection is active.
  • If the app does not detect the device, check if there is a Wi-Fi connection available in the area where your device is installed.
  • In the app settings, you will also find instructions for resetting the device or contacting technical support.
